First, let’s define what we mean by earn money online because there are several ways to do it and not all of them are created equal. For the purposes of this article, we’re going to focus on sustainable methods that you can use over and over again so you can eventually earn enough income that you don’t have to work another day in your life if you choose not to. In other words, passive income streams (we discuss these more below).
Ten tipes to earn cash online
1) Sell an App
Mobile apps are a great way to make money online. The market for them is still pretty young and it has plenty of room for growth. There’s no reason why you can’t be making money with your own app, too! You don’t need an idea that’s going to change social media – these days even simple and fun ideas can bring in income. But if you want to get serious about it and try something more challenging, here are some tips
2) Create a Mobile Website
Have you ever found yourself checking your phone while in a store and suddenly wondering, Why don’t I have a store locator app? Or maybe you’ve thought about how cool it would be if your business had an app that showed your services, products and location. If so, one of your first steps should be to create a mobile website for your business.
3) Sell Textbooks Online
Textbooks are a big expense for students and can get even bigger when you factor in renting, buying or new editions. If you still have some textbooks from your days in school, you could be sitting on some serious cash. Sites like BookS can help you find out how much your books are worth. Amazon will also buy back used textbooks and pay either through a gift card or directly into your bank account. Take those books off your shelf and turn them into cash!
4) Become a Freelancer
There are a ton of ways you can earn money as a freelancer. In fact, there are over half a million jobs in America that are part-time, freelance positions. You’ll have to put in some time upfront to build your client base and develop a reputation for yourself—just like with any other job—but once you have your foot in the door, it will be much easier for you to get future clients. Don’t sell yourself short: if you know how to do something well, there is absolutely no reason why someone shouldn’t pay you for it! 5) Sell Photos Onlin
If you have a talent for photography, take advantage of those skills and sell your photos online. Several sites, such as iStock Photo and Shutterstock, let you set prices for your images and then split revenue with them depending on how popular they are. The downside is that competition on these sites can be tough. Still, if you want to try selling stock photos online and don’t think outside of your immediate circle of friends or family members would buy them from you directly, here are some great places to start.
6) Build a Simple Software Service
If you’re thinking about making money online, but aren’t sure how, here’s what you should do: Build a simple software service that solves a problem for your customers. If your solution takes off, it can pay for itself quickly. When new customers sign up, offer them a free trial of your software—and if they like it enough and keep using it, hit them with a monthly fee. (Here are instructions on how to build an SaS product.)
7) Start Teaching Lessons Online
Whether you’re a guitar god or a dance queen, teaching your skills online is one of the most flexible, location-independent ways to earn money while traveling. And if you don’t know how to play an instrument or sing, that doesn’t mean you can’t teach what you know. You might be surprised at how many subjects people are willing to pay for lessons in: art, exercise techniques, language instruction and beyond. People will even pay for teacher training workshops!
8) Offer Your Services Locally as a Virtual Assistant
If you have decent writing, design, and other online skills, offer your services online as a virtual assistant. A VA can do everything from managing social media profiles to proofreading/editing work and even running errands. Not all VA gigs are remote, but it’s a great way to earn money online while doing work you already know how to do.
9) Create YouTube Videos about
Anything and Use Google AdSense to Monetize Them
Create a YouTube channel about anything you want. Then sign up for Google AdSense (it’s free) and place ads on your videos. You will earn money from the ads being displayed on your video and when people click on those ads. You can also create a YouTube channel with no videos that uses Google AdSense advertising to make money without posting videos.
10) Affiliate Marketing
If you’re looking for a way to earn money online, one of your best bets is affiliate marketing. This is also one of my favorite ways to monetize a site.
